What most of you don't know is that I have been doing a lot of soul searching where friendships are concerned. I think back about things I could have done different as a friend and then I think about what I really want/need in a friend. For those of you reading this, if I have ever not supported you as much as you needed or offended you in some way...I am sorry. I know my reasons for doing the things I have done and maybe we never had the chance to talk about them. I also forgive those of you have not supported me or offended me...even if you didn't realize what you were doing. Life is too short to hold grudges but it is also to precious to surround yourself with people who don't feed our spirit. Without even asking the Lord for help, he sent me an angel in the form of an old friend. My friend Debbie and I keep in touch but when we try to get together things don't always work out but we know that each of us is there for one another. A couple of weeks ago she e-mailed and said she was coming into town and she wanted to get together. I was hopeful but didn't expect much because I know how busy life can be. Through the grace of God, she showed up. We spent the entire day together watching the Big Reds play football and then reminiscing about the past. What a blast that was for me...especially at a time when I really needed it. We also talked about friends and friendships...I don't think she realized how much that helped...Thanks Deb. It's really nice to be with someone who doesn't judge you for what you wear, how clean/unclean your house is, or the past.
Debbie has been my friend for many, many years and I know she will be there for many, many more. This is the first step in my spiritual friendship journey and I hope the others are just as fruitful.

Football
Well, this season has not been a winning one for my kids but they are having fun and doing their best. Anthony and Dominic are both burnin' up the field with tackles and carrying the ball. I know I'm not supposed to brag but they both seem to have "a nose for the ball". I do not understand all the crazy rules of this game but I sure do like watching them put someone in the dirt. haha Man, I bet that is a great stress reliever! They both punt the ball and each of them can punt about 40 yards...thanks to their dad. I have to say I think he would have been a great athlete had he have had parents who encouraged him. Oh well, now he gets to enjoy watching the talents of his own kids.
